town expansions with the trade quests

quick question.

where is the jeweler and the tinker in yew?
i know when they expanded the towns with the trade quests and put docks and smiths and such in the towns that didnt have them but i was doing a trade quest today and i couldnt find a jeweler or a tinker NPC to buy stuff off of.
do they have them hidden off somewhere?

i dont think we can go into the heartwood while on the quest.

Fairly sure there isn't any. Just buy them at the destination.

i ended up buying at destination but i had thought i read somewhere that we would be able to purchase everything we would need to fill orders from the originating town?

As far as I am aware there is not nor has there ever been a Jeweler in Yew. There is however a Carpenter and he does sell Drums... and other instruments located in the same building as the Blacksmiths, The Bloody Thumb. There are also 2 Bowyers. Far as I know there are no NPC's selling necklaces in Yew.

I've run literally 100's of trade deals out of Yew... NEVER have I been asked to take Necklaces. Drums yes... and like I said they can be purchased from the NPC in The Blood Thumb.

you are NOT mistaken. in the pub 86 patch notes (http://uo.com/2014/07/17/publish-86-to-tc1/) it states "Items required to fill the trade order are generated from the real time inventories of shop keepers in the region.". i guess this refers to either the originating or destination town.

I have once when it asked me for something from the baker.... I don't remember what... but it was sold out. Though at the time there were many other folk doing trade quests... so I suppose they sold out.

For some quick money just do magincia over and over. There is only a tailor there and if it runs out of stock, you still only have to hit the tailor at your destination

If you are for the signs, do magincia as well and buy the signs with pinks
