Medea-
A few things to note that have changed since you left (just a bunch of random thoughts, out of many changes):
Logs can now be turned to boards by carpenters, lumberjacks and (I believe) Bowcrafters, by using an axe on the logs (instead the old method involving the carpentry skill and a tool menu selection).
Stone and sand now stack, and weigh less than before. Potions also stack and can be put in commodity deeds, as do a lot of other things.
Gold now weighs 1/3 as much as it used to (so most people can carry a full stack of 60,000 gold in their pack, if strength allows). Gold amounts at champ spawns have increased even more than this.
I'm not sure if you left after the Bag of Sending nerf, but that nerf got reverted after a year or two, so they work as originally intended.
Champ spawns on all facets now drop pink scrolls that give actual permanent skill increases (so long as you have skill cap room). The actual champs of each drop replicas of a lot of the extremely over-duped Event Rares. IIRC, the champs got buffed a bit too, shortly after you left.
BODs and runics got major boosts.
Spellbooks of various types can now be made by scribes with additional bonuses when held (not just magery books).
for Tamers, two Words: Greater Dragons
longer answer - If you treat Destard or other Dragon spawn areas like you did before you left, you will be seeing gray REALLY quickly - and it won't be from PKs. Greater dragons take all 5 pet slots, has 650-1000 HP tamed (twice that wild), and 100-130 in most skills (including magery, wrestling and tactics).
Slayers were recently changed to where Super Slayers still do double damage - but non-super slayers (like a dragon slayer or ogre slayer) now do triple damage.
There were special artifact drops added permanently to the anti-virtue dungeon for the 10th anniversary, some of which can be useful (like a statue that gives a 1-hour luck boost based on account age 1/day, a dragon slayer sword, and the virtue armor set - though the latter requires a quest for the cloak).
Soulstones are now 1st year vet rewards, along with a box that allows you to fill or break commodity deeds in your house, and a crystal portal that will take you to moongates or banks on most facets.
Several new 1-use dye colors were added by the last round of Treasures of Tokuno, and with Stygian Abyss we now have additional dyes that can be created with plants and alchemy.
blank scrolls can be crafted, as well as scroll binders that allow you to turn 10 105s into a 110, 10 110s into a 115, or 10 115s into a 120.
All these new high-end cloth items (replicas, artifact drops, event items etc.) mean that Clothing bless deeds have escalated in value, and Imbuing has done the same for Powder of Fortifying(as items can't be powdered after imbuing, most will powder items to 255 before imbuing). This makes a bunch of the low end BODs more worth doing (and even the lowly Dull Copper Hammer and Spined Kit are now somewhat valuable in terms of making stuff to imbue, and stuff to unravel for raw imbuing ingredients).
