Piper paced the small secert room. Her twin brother Berem lay on a small bed in the corner. His body raked with pain and poison. "Piper help me" barley a whisper ecsaped Berem's lips. Piper closed her eyes and braced for the torment that would assault her body. As she closed her eyes. She linked her mind and body to her twin. "I am hear brother" she said thru the link into his mind. Her body convulsed as his pain transfered from his body to spread thru hers. As his body finally relaxed and he slipped back into a deep rest, Piper broke the link. Her body still absorbing his pain she collasped to the floor.
One of the healers came to her side. "No stay with my brother. I am fine" she said as she got back to her feet. As the pain subsided she began pacing the room again. The room was protected from all things with the spell she had cast around it, but it wasnt enough. Yes only Piper could get in and out thru the barrier, but it didnt end the torment.
Piper's mind raced as she tried to figure out how to explain why she must leave the Guard. No one knew of her secert powers she possessed. For they werent from this world. And with the "evil black men" back she would now have to use those secert powers to hunt them down and kill them. It was the only way to remove the curse upon her twin.
"Damn it" she swore as she sent a ball of engery at the wall and it hissed as the magic barrier absorbed it. She thought these men were gone. Would her family ever know peace? This time she was not running. With the new powers Ninja had taught her to command, she would stand and fight this time. With the ability to "shimmer" in and out at the blink of an eye, link to those she had abond with to draw from their powers and control magic many had never seen, she would end this soon.
"Call me if he needs me" Piper snapped at the healers in the room. Then within the blink of an eyes her body seemed to shimmer in the darkness and she vanished.
"I hate when she does that" mumbled a healer. The other nodding in agreement. "Tis not natural."
