Tokuno Campers Take Heed

OK, here's the deel folks.
1. NOBODY OWNS SPOTS.
2. As an adventurer, I prefer not to camp. If you do, that's your style, and I'm cool with that.
3. However, as an adventurer, I retain the right to transit through and fight any monsters not currently engaged.
4. If I am allowed to engage with no interference, I shall not linger and will pass through.
5. However, if I receive complaints and griefs such as "go find your own spot" or "I was here first", well, needless to say that will extend my time in that spot until such time as I deem fit.

I'm not selfish, I don't intend to be a griefer. I've spent a career defending freedom and ensuring freedom of movement. I will fully expect to be able to conduct my gaming as such. It would be so much better without all the grief.

So, to all the campers that I've irritated, you now know where I stand.

I am glade you are green to me. "All kill"

Your more then welcome to stay in my spot. Just hand over that mempo when you get it.

Question. Since I own a house on the Tokuno islands isn't that my spot? It does say owner: Gareth :D

Good point, Gareth. Yes, plot ownership is the ONLY recognized sovereign territory of the player in this game. Thank you for bringing that up.

I dont mind sharing, and I don't have the attention span to camp anywhere for long anyway.
It IS nice if the person passing through is polite enough to say hello, or at least not act belligerent and kill kill as fast as they can. More than happy to share with people who act with a little respect. Wouldn't grief them anyway, I'd just leave.

Usually, when I get to a spot that is camped, there is plenty of spawn. I try hard not to fight something that someone else has already engaged.

Now, I'm not usually one to stop my movement to say "Hi" unless it is someone I know well. My desire is to be in, hit one or two targets and move on. However, if someone has alot of corpses around them, I figure they've had more than their fair share of the spot. It is usually those folks that start complaining that "They were there first" and that I should "find my own spot".

That triggers me to enter into my "Freedom of Navigation Mode". When greeted with that kind of rudeness, audacity, or whatever you prefer to call it, I will exercise a form of "squatters' rights" in that, I now consider that spot MINE. I then transition from engaging mobs not currently engaged by the camper to actively engaging any monster they are trying to fight. I will continue this until one of two things happen. The first, they acknowledge that there are no claims to spots other than housing, or two, I grow bored and decide to press on my intended course.

Thanks for your response, Lissa.

My trammy kills rune beetles in 2-4 hits so by the time any tamers come and say "all kill" the spawn is dead. :danceb:

Please elaborate on how this was topical to the thread.
In "my spot" I kill spawn so quickly that tamers just get fed up and leave....sometimes they try to lure the yamadan up to me and sometimes I die to it....oh well...Point being, camping isn't a bad idea since the game is based on spawning creatures only in certain "spawn areas".

Yet another example of why you really shouldn't be a moderator, Achilles.

Wow, slight tangent going. I'll disagree with why he shouldn't be a moderator, but I will say "shouldn't be a moderator on Chessy." In the legal world, it would be called a "Conflict of Interest."

So I can't have an opinion and express it as a moderator? That's just silly.

You should go visit other shard forums and see how the moderators treat the people. Count yourself lucky to have him.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've cited guild members for language when I was in wowz. No one is perfect but I try to do a good job.

Much obliged. However, I don't claim any spots, and try not to linger anywhere for long.

I've found if you are good enough at a spawn folks that want to play through (or take it) or whatever they want move on to someone weaker to twink. Basically twinkish behavior is a reward thing. For the most part if there's no reward they leave. I think I'm going to quit talking to twinks completely. I've seen the same thing for 11 years now. What is there left to talk about?

Well if someone happens to be in a spot that I may go to I just go find another spot. And if someone sees me in a spot they usually just move onto another spot but then I am not killing anything big or dangerous in this event either. :) I claim any Tokono rat in my own front yard though but if someone else smacks it before I clear of my Zento porches or yard so be it. :)

Do wish folks would say hi though when they see me slaying puny death watch beetle hatchlings or whatevers.. Ima friendly sort a HI takes just a few moments to do. :) I AM doing the Tokono's here of course like always, cuz I have no warriors on Siege at all and well tis sometimes annoying to win a silly tok dye and be pkd for it when ima the one that killed something to get it. :)

So this event is way different on SIEGE if ya in someone's way there they just pk ya out of their way *when or if they can* that is. Since mine are all crafters THERE...Ima doing the tokonos HERE like always. :) Lots easier to move out of someone else's way or keep a simple tokono dye... ALIVE than DEAD. haha yes that sounds so *trammie of me* haha But we all work hard for these lil rewards ..tis nice to actually get to KEEP em in TRAMMEL ruleset than a FELUCCAN Tokono like Siege. :)
