Friends and neighbors, an unprecedented crime has taken place in the city of Vesper. The Shimmering Jewel, Vesper's fine jewelry shop, has been robbed by an unknown thief or thieves. The local guards are currently stretched thin escorting caravans between Vesper and Minoc, so as the governor of Vesper I am hereby issuing a call for assistance. Please help us investigate this crime, apprehend the responsible parties, and return the stolen gems to their rightful owners.

Furthermore, I personally have the feeling that this robbery is just the tip of the iceberg...
