sorry i am only a greek. i have no clue where the server of stratics is or where exactly EA/Mthic has their staff. so what time would that be in my country? only because it would be good to understand announcments and timings they talk about.

If you mean stratics itself, you can set your time zone on this page:
http://vboards.stratics.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
to have it translate times generated by the website itself.

As for dates/times thrown around by players/devs, I see things most commonly quoted for the Eastern Timezone which is at UTC-4 between the second Sunday in March and the first Sunday in November (daylight savings time) and UTC-5 the rest of the year.

Time zones seemed like such a good idea before globalization.

UO is a global game and it would be nice is UO and UOStratics would use Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) as a standard. NOTE: Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the same all year around.

EA/Mythic settled in Fairfax, Virginia, close by to the capital of the United States, Washington, D.C..

If you use http://www.google.com and enter "Washington D.C. time" in the search field and hit search you will be given the current time in EDT or EST. Right now it is EDT. That should help you for anything UOHerald.com posts.

I do not know if http://www.google.gr has similar functions? But Athens, for example, is 7 hours ahead of Washington, D.C..

If you are talking about the time of the events, every shard has their own time to do this. On Drachenfels it will be at 8.00PM german time (GMT +2)

So best to check your shards event site...
