Ah, I came here to ask how to use the trash barrel..no wonder I couldnt figure it out. So, I went to check out a virtue tapestry instead. When I selected direction and tagetted the wall the deed went poof and no tapestry. I found it upstairs so check there if it happens to you.

According to the GM's, the publish isnt active till the next maintenance cycle (Thought server up was a cycle?) as noted on the UOHerald website.

So seems as though the rest of the publish is active, Clean up brit isnt... and thats down to the next cycle... eh

I guess they are referring the US shards which is in a couple of hours. Europa already had their server up but it´s not active there it seems.

I think you'll find that we're in front! 5 hours for UK (its 10am here) , and if you go west they are nearly a whole day in front (Its late evening in Aus).

The European shards have pretty much always had the "after the next maintenance" stuff before the US shards.
Including now, actually, as ever-so-subtly indicated by the Honesty virtue and the 14th Anni tickets.

Which would logically indicated that the event will start on the 22nd. On a happier note I turned in some of my Xmas tickets and found an angel box...

Announced 20 September, therefore 'during the next maintenance cycle' means it will kick in on the next maintenance cycle, which was due 20th/21st, and would be live on the 21st - hence "Publish 72.0 Comes to All Shards - 09/21". Publish 72, according to the publish notes, includes the turn-in.

But I have to ask.. why oh why dont people check first? I wish I was in Cavern of the Discarded on Europa when that happened! It really dosnt take 2 seconds to click on the trash barrel...

One thing I saw that was odd; I went to cavern of the discarded to just look around (empty) - soon as i went into Tomb of Kings, saw a blue beetle ghost, it attacked me and I saw damage to it when I hit it. Saw it's contents' bag w/ a single empty green bag inside, which I was able to take. Now, near a minute later, I see the beetle, damaged, but Alive, also wild, but clearly no longer aggressive.

Cavern is empty on atl for first time ive ever seen it. I'm thinking that while they haven't turned on clean up, they may very well have turned off the cavern. I guess the no clean-up thing is a mistake, but it doesn't really seem like a mistake.

I mean think about it. There's not even a bad item in the cavern. We get our tickets.

But, the trash cans aren't working, after all the extra days of testing.

I won't bs you. I program. I used to pay a bunch of other programmers. Programming does things you just wouldn't think it would do, so I guess its possible its a mistake.

Do you guys remember when there used to be ea/mythic folks that would actually come here and tell us important things we needed to know in situations like this?

I too work in IT. We have a development farm for, you guessed it, Developers to work their magic creating new solutions. Then we have a Test farm, care to guess what we do there? The Test farm is a duplicate of Production but with fewer resources. If any IT business with programmers ran their crap like this they would go out of business. Their customers would find more reliable IT people/contracts. These DEVS and the system this company uses to implement new items/features is a joke. They should be ashamed. Oh... But you did get your Compassion dye for all your troubles

I remember. I think they scripted it and something failed, and when they get time from working on that 'other' game to check on us, maybe they'll turn it on.

Just been pointed to your post by Tina Small. I too had an odd experience where by my logged out Mage appeared in my house while I was logged into another character on the SAME account.

Think the devs broke something in this patch lol

I was able to start two instances of the enhanced client and log on to two characters on the same account. I should have bug reported it, but I'm not sure I did. This happened a week or two ago. I was going to say this wasn't publish 72, but it may well have happened after the client was patched.

Anyway, I'm going to bug report it now...
