From what I just heard from CNN,the mayor of NY has already ordered the shut down of the transit system and some power has been turned off as a precaution. My prayers are with the ones in the path of this "perfect storm".

Nothing in ct as of yet supposed to be tmrw night..got my full of UO before the power goes out..hopefully not..but schools are shut down till Wednesday so far and the governor has already got Obama to sign off on a early state of emergency :/...hope stop n shop is sending kickbacks to these meteorologists..

In Vermont my city is ground zero for it. Expecting 50-80 mph winds (here is a link if anyone wants to read up on the expected storm here in Vt Hurricane Sandy update | Vt Today ) If it's anything like the Nor-easter we had about 4 yrs ago it's going to be bad. That one had my answering service & half of the city here without power for 4+ days. Oh wel, mother nature will be mother nature, at least we are not expected to get the rain like last yr's Hurricane Irene that hit all of Vt hard & washed out 1/5th of the roads. Cross the fingers is all we can do .

I'm on the edge right now. The epicenter will pass directly over my area (projected) in Maryland before or around the time it is expected to drop from a Cat1 hurricane to a tropical storm. Right now would be a great time to fly a kite if it weren't for the rain. So far so good though right now. We shall see what happens later.

And yes, people are STILL coming into the Casino...
