Throwing Parry Broken?

I have been trying to make some gargoyle parry throwers based on the recent changes. From what I read in the publish update and on Stratics, it looked like if you have GM parry you can A) parry while using a throwing weapon and B) not have a to hit penalty. Having less than GM parry appears to give you an incremental to hit penalty of up to 100%, but I am not sure I read that right.

I have tried training up some parry throwers and have noticed two significant issues with parry and Throwing:

1) My toon doesn't seem to be able to parry while holding a thowing weapon. I have tested it against another toon with a throwing weapon, against melee weapons, and against sheep, dogs and cats (sheep pen). I have made four toons now. On two of them I trained parry to GM first and on the second two I trained it last.

2.) My toons on which I saved parry for last are stuck at 90 parry and won't advance. There are 30 points in another skill set to drop and it won't advance beyond 90. It's the same on two toons -- parry stopped advancing at exactly 90. Parry is the last skill I was working on for the template and its odd that it is doing exactly the same thing on two toons.

The Template is:

Throwing 120
Parry 100
Heal 100
Anatomy 100
Tactics 100
Necromancy 30
Spirit Speak 100
Chivalry 70

Are you using a shield?

Yes, I am using a shield. I guess I left out that detail.

My understanding was that you cannot parry with a throwing weapon. Normally with parry and no bushido you can parry at a reduced rate with a weapon, but not at all if it is a throwing weapon.

If I pull the weapon I can parry. I trained these two stuck toons up to 90 with a shield only against sheep. I did the same with the first two that I was able to GM parry on as well.

I don't seem to parry if I hold the weapon alone which is expected, or if I hold the weapon and shield, which I did not expect.

I switched to beating on my thrower with a fencer and parry started moving again when I pull the throwing weapon. I worked at it for 20 minutes with a GM fencer against my legendary thrower and never parried while holding the throwing weapon. I gained .3 to 90.3 in three minutes with just a shield. Obviously getting hit more frequently...

So it looks like I may be able to finish training it, but if it doesn't work then what's the point?

I just watched my two toons for 60 hits on the parry thrower holding shield and throwing weapon. At 90.4 parry skill it parried zero of 60 hits. I pulled the throwing weapon and parried two of the next three hits.

Shield parry is definitely not working while holding a throwing weapon.

Hm, good that we have conclusive data on this now.
