Josiah was meticulous about the setup of his office and work area. Although it was a constant mess, he had moved so many times and set it up so many times everything had a place, even in a place it had never been.
He had just placed one of his many books on a bookshelf when the door to his house had opened and slammed loudly against the stucco interior wall.
“Hello Josiah!” shouted a man whom Josiah had never met.
Struggling to remain a gentleman, Josiah welcomed the man and four others who soon followed. The five excitedly related their tale, interrupting each other in a manner not unlike a group of newborn pups fighting to one up each other for their mothers attention.
With such a story Josiah retrieved his hat from the dresser and followed the men to the cave just by the entrance to the dungeon Destard. There, just as the men had said was a strangely carved wall with three pedestals which stood in front. The entrance was nondescript. But Josiah recognized a bit of the writing, an ancient religious cult he had read about in some text ages ago in his youth. Their temple had never been found.
The Secret to the entrance had to revolve around the three pedestals; each had a notch and a trigger. As Josiah fiddled with one a *click* had been heard and another of the terrible creatures crawled from the rock above the wall. The battle was fierce and Josiah could barely imagine the crowd fighting a full four of them at once. Truly he was in the presence of heroes!
After this final beast had been laid low Josiah had finished his initial examination of the temple entrance. The crowd seemed to not want to wait for a published paper or literary thesis.
“Three keys must be found; surely these three pillars demand three keys. This wall seems sturdy, almost magical in its construction; it will require all three keys in order to peer inside.” Josiah said.
Many seemed displeased after so much fighting that they should have to wait to see what mysteries awaited inside. Josiah had once been partial to such impatience himself. However after years of such feelings he knew that the best was yet to come. However, through a small crack in the wall behind him Josiah heard a terrible horrid skittering and clawing. Were they trying to get in, or was something trying to get out?

Over the past week deer and other animals had flooded the outside walls of Trinsic. With them followed many other types of forest life. The guards had quickly taken to sport and killed a great many, but they kept coming in droves. They had been driven out by some nameless evil in the forest.
Finally the tension had reached its peak when a creature named Ugurd Quartzjaw approached the entrance of the city along its western road.
Following this creature of stone and crystal a great amassing of heroes approached the entrance to a previously unknown structure that seemed to lead under the mountain itself.
Before they had much of a chance to view the entrance four creatures crawled from various hiding places in the mountains. They had been terrible brutes akin to some sort of spider larvae and just three had taken the lives of hundreds, with a fourth being lead north into the outskirts of Skara Brae.
Once the four creatures had been disposed of, these four men had come to Britain to find someone with the knowledge and expertise to study the strange entrance and mayhap gain entrance.
