go to magicia and the quest guy right at the gate tells you what ones give thought thread and just run into the town and kill those the drop rate seems to be about every ten one of the critters you need exocism to get the thread the other i think is spirit speak the corrupt ones just kill they are the ones that attack you

It's a necromancy spell and you need 100% spirit speak for it.

So basically you can't do this quest unless you have a necro?

For the threads of thought you need to have 80 necromancy, 100 spirit speak, and have the spell in your spellbook or use a scroll. [I know the last sounds obvious but I've had to have 4 people in Magin on Cats check for it in their spellbooks when they couldn't figure out what to cast.] The spell is area of effect and will release one Forsaken Spirit within range.

Threads of Life jack of all trades and 0 spirit speak will set free the restless spirits after a few tries, so will the bloodwood totem, and ss jewelery to get skill up.

Threads of Fate.. kill the corrupted spirits, though in the patch fixes on Nov. 6th, it seems they have made them much harder to kill.

Exorcism drops on monster who drop scrolls. Daemons are best shot or Liches. Or get it from a Scribe who already have Exorcism in there book.

So basically you can't do this quest unless you have a necro?

If you don't have a necro and you're completely anti-social, yes.

More than likely you can barter trades with some necros for the threads you want, as the most time-consuming ones to get seem to be fate and those can be gotten by anyone.
