Just returned and decided to try out spellweaving with my tamer.
110 Taming
110 Animal Lore
110 Magery
120 Mediation
120 Disco
120 Music
120 Spellweaving
Am I stretching myself too thin? Also, when I first tried spellweaving a long time ago, you can summon an arcane focus without any other spellweavers - any way to still do that?
If it was me, I'd consider that to be a fun second tamer template, but yes, maybe stretched a bit thin if you lose the option to vet. I know mage healing is all the rage on tamers, but personally, being able to rez my pet mid fight for the cost of a bandage, justifies the skill.
Having said that, what I'd do is use that template, but keep vet and provo trained up on soulstones. Because you could easily switch out your med and spellweaving for vet and provo to make a template that works with your existing skills. You'd then be able to provo as well as disco the spawn around your pet, and you'd get back the convenience of vetting. It's also quite a fun template, once you bore yourself silly training the bard skills.
A bit of shuffling of skills and you could make a spellweaving disco/voke bard/tamer without vet - though spellweaving without med will be hard, you could always build a mana suit up - low mana cost/regen etc etc. Use disco and provo to reduce the damage hitting your pet, or better still team up with another tamer, their pet tanking while you toss yours in and bard the spawn.
(and before anyone says it, yes, I like silly bard tamer templates too much)
