Has died DRASTICALLY over the past 6 months. I have seen the summer drop off before, and this is not it, and while we are taking people in, I think it is happening like this...

10 New people come play
5 Good old vets leave due to faction arties, pets, or whatever their reason.
5 of those new people leave because skill gain is too hard
1 of those new people leave because they're established elsewhere and it's easier there
1 new person leaves because it is frustrating only being able to do one thing, due to having one character slot.
Another new guy losess interest.

I have seen a ton of new people over the past few months, but only see them for a week or so, maybe a month tops. So I am transferring my gold back to GL where it is actually possible to purchase the things you need/want in game, as well as find people. I'll still play here maybe when it picks up again, and will still work skills.

Sprago, I've played Siege longer than you. I am just tired of feeling like I am playing a PC game solo, it's boring, there is nothing to do, you can never buy the items you want/need PvP is few and far between. I don't mind dying, I probably have more money than 99% of the people on this shard. It's the fact that a game which was meant to be very interactive, has become very uninteractive.

Like I said, if the shards population picks up, I will come back.

Tram lands - I have one character, a red with around 1100 counts named Malcate. I think I have a blue I used for doom way back when, but I haven't logged on him in months.

Hell I consider Prodo shards to be more dangerous than SP. The only place I run a chance of getting killed here is Luna, no one (except maybe Bo) even checks spawns anymore, where is the opportunity to be killed? I watch guys sit in deamons for 5-6 hours farming silver and no one ever pops in. This shard hasn't been dangerous since it lost its population.

SP was dangerous when the orcs would set up their traps in random ass locations, or when KGB would roll in on your ass with 30 dragons. EA has pampered UO to the state it just isn't all that dangerous anymore. Smokebomb. If your attacker has detect/hide, then their template probably isn't solid enough to kill you. There IS no danger on SP anymore, it is gone, and has been gone. So if I am going to play a shard I'd rather it be with players, not vast open landscape. Where do you think SC, Sake, BR, etc have gone?

oh and btw on prodo gold is worth much less there than on siege so ur riches will turn into chump change on prodo.......i think a mill gold is what like worth 50 cents now... maby a dollor, oh well have fun making a supersuit u will never lose.......and makeing 3k gold a kill, what else is sucky? oh yeah pvp confined to only yew in fel only that will be a blast..

I still play LS from time to time, and I assure you there is far more PvP there, and it isn't even the largest shard. Champ spawns are CONSTANTLY raided, yes there is PvP at Yew, and I have no desire to PvP around Luna anymore.

You have fun buying/selling your faction arty suits back the "Siege insurance" way.

And if you haven't noticed...

SP gold is currently going or about $3.50

Prodo is about $.50

Gold exchange rate is 7/1. So I'll still end up with over 450m. Plenty for me.

Liquidating it all. Well, all but my top items. I'm going to keep all of my barbed kits, my leaf blade, lots of tokens, etc. Going to take 300m over to GL to do wtfever I want, and leave around 20 here.

First I must say.

The replies to this thread are hilarious.

Speedy, fun pvping against you over the last 2 years or so. Siege is a harder play style shard inresult lack of players. People have been quitting left and right on every shard since I've started up back in 03. So much complaints and crying I think its more just the players not being able to handle what UO is IMO. On Siege I am having no problem finding players to kill I travel around, check and hunt always find someone to kill lately has decreased a bit more due to beta so I've been less active.

Btw you still want your faction items back?

You really were NEVER a fun fight. You hugged luna GZ and tried to gank with the JSV tamers for your first month on siege. Talking mad **** calling people "house hiders" but it was impossible to get you to go grey and fight anybody except obviously when 3-4 greater dragons were around.

From the first time we had a 1v1 outside of luna walls and you AMAZINGLY..because i must of been lagging....or something........you ran off my screen faster than I've seen anybody else on siege.

Honestly speedy i hate your kind so just go back to GL and forget you ever tried to make a name here for yourself.

It's not goodbye, just Cya later. I'm keeping enough gold here to buy the items I need when they become available, but in the meantime I will be playing elsewhere until action picks up here. I need items, and there are none for sale, and me and my group ran spawns on Chessy for the better part of 6 years, I cannot stand spawning, I've done my share of that. With the new SA content I may play a bit more here, as I consider this my home, consider all the other shards are just a big cluster of trailer parks since transfers came in. And DT I will grab those items from you, thanks for holding on to them.
