This Just Gets Better and Better...

I've done the Cloak of Humility quest twice...simple as can be (but seriously tedious!). I am now doing it yet again and I'm at the 7 errands. Here's my current situation...

Kevin, Deidre and Walton have what they want. They are satisfied. Nice people to do business with! I currently have a Brass Ring in my pack.

Maribell wants a Villiage Cauldren while Jason says he was shipped a Village Cauldron but doesn't want it and won't tell me what he wants. That's just SO Jason!

Meanwhile, both Sean and Nelson say they want Worn Hammers. They're just TOO competitve!

Is this totally phuqued or what? Is this quest completely screwed or am I doing something terribly wrong? And, yes, I am wearing my "special" cloak.

Well, I can't help ya out anymore than to say the quest worked fine for me earlier today. It was the first time I had done it and the only problem I had was finding one of the NPC's. Other than that all went well ....

When I did mine I had a similar problem only it was with the foot stools. one npc had one but wouldn't tell me what he wanted and the other wanted it and I had no idea what they wanted. I stopped for the night and next day it all got sorted out. Maybe you should wait another day? Yes it is messed up and they need to fix it.

I have now had this problem for 3 straight days so it's not rectifying itself. So I gave up the quest in disgust. I'll have to spend another 75K for the Library donation and try again but not tonight. Maybe Sunday will be a new and better day.

Okay, it's Sunday and I've asked for a new "Gareth the Emissary of the RBC" quest. Interesting twist this time...I'm not asked the initial series of questions nor am I asked to donate to the Museum, Zoo or Library. Instead I advance straight to the 7 Errands part of the quest.

So I'm sporting my "Plain Grey Cloak" and have a "Brass Ring" in my pack and I set off to connect with my trustworthy trading partners.

Maribel is decisive and clearly states that she wants a Village Cauldron. A commanding presence. Decisive!

Deidre is demure. Doesn't recognize me. No Gump. No talk. The Bee itch!

Kevin is imitating Deidre. He pretends he doesn't know me. No Gump. Jerk!

Sean is clear, he wants a Worn Hammer. Why? I don't get Sean, but.

Jason hasn't changed. Says he was shipped a Village Cauldron and doesn't want it. But typical of Jason, he won't say what he wants. Denies his feelings he does!

Walton and Nelson are in cahoots. Both pretend to ignore me and won't talk. No gump. They can difficult at times!

What the hell? Is this quest TOTALLY, COMPLETELY borked?
Any suggestions?

what client are you running? KR? if so maybe there is another bug in that client for the quest? Missing text maybe?

I only ask because I just did this entire quest on a newer character 2 weeks ago in 2D client. I had no problems.

I'm using 2D exclusively until KR is more playable for me.
It's weird because I've done this quest twice before with no prolbems!

only other thing I can think of is either:

there is a problem with the quest now in 2D.

or the character that you are trying to do the quest with might be bugged itself.

Have all your other characters completed the quest?

If you have the resources try it on another character that has not done it.

If you can complete it on this new character then you know the quest is ok and your other character is bugged somehow.
