Really I had no idea it was going to be that crappy no idea at all I never ever woulda thought it could have been that bad I kinda new it would be bad BUT never thought it would be THAT BAD, literally this was the worst thing I have ever had on my desktop EVER since I had my first ATT pc years and years ago.

Aside from a particle system that isn't just animations what does this thing got going good?

CAN WE USE SA WITH 2D CLIENT? IF NOT I'M DONE WIT THIS GAME 4 GOOD...

Also it is intended to use that much memory....It uses that much memory to make the game more fluid. Do you even know what using more memory actually means for game performance? This is particularly funny since something like 80% of the graphics ARE 2D GRAPHICS! They are the exact same art. It does look a bit different due to shadows and whatnot ... but someone who takes one look and rejects it because its not 2D ... well, suffice to say I am wasting my typing time.

buddy the game is flawed the entire SA client is flawed it used WAY to much memory. Do you understand I can play CoD4 on my pc and not use as much memory as I do with the POS SA client?

There must be loops and code inside loops and loops inside code that makes the engine EAT memory doing very simple tasks like moving. The client is pretty much unplayable at its current stage and I suggest they take it out of open beta.

KR may be a pile of rancid fish guts thrown through your dining room window while you're eating at the table, but SA is at least at the level of a recently used litter box down the hall in comparison.

And COD4 is not that intensive....should not really compare it...it has preloaded everything, you are not constantly loading new material. Loops in the code would not cuase it to use memory...but whatever. It is designed to use ALL OF YOUR RAM, DESIGNED you see the word designed? That means it is working as intended. How can it use "WAY to much" when it should be using "ALL"?

It's been stated ... YES, 2D WILL STILL BE ABLE TO BE USED WITH SA EXPANSION.

I put it in caps only so you'll spot it easier. It's been in a couple FoF and I **think** UHall at least.

I fully expect it to fall far short of the "must be 100% perfect" level. I would only ask that when released, it be compared to KR release - at least. IMO that was horrid due to marketing. <shrug>

the engine is finished all they are doing now is going to be fixing bugs like missing tiles. you don't put out a open beta on a product that isn't finished on a game like uo use your heads kids.

Okay - KR graphics hurt my eyes. I admit 2D is outdated and needs a lot of love. SA appears to be some sort of compromise between the two and frankly I can work with the SA client where I can't in KR.

I'll willingly give the SA client and the SA 2D client a workout (and I have been!!). There are glitches in each but I do like them both. It's gonna be tough for me ... but the SA client beats KR in the less eyestrain department.

Despite EA insisting that SA expansion would be strickly for KR users they did a massive about turn when they realised what a crock of double whopper with cheese their new client was.

And dont forget the KR fanboi's who said they would quit UO if SA was made accessable to 2d users. Your still out there boys. Quitting time is soon:loser:

Are you surprised? The Devs have already proved with the KR debacle that they arent the most gifted programmers in the world. SA is just their latest botched effort.

EA have their least able people working on UO whilst the better programmers work on other EA titles. Any of the Devs would leave at the drop of a hat if they were good enough to work on a newer more prestigious title.

And before all the Dev butt kissers jump in, its undeniably true. You cant honestly tell me that having UO on your CV as a programmer is the pinicle of success.
