Ironically the context was finding the proper value of the Melissa's Cloak:

the value of which has since been destroyed for lots of other reasons. But the game ending isn't one of them so far.

I really enjoyed that event. I still have the bloody parchment locked down on a table in my home.

One of the better events during my time in UO apart from part where people exploited the 25K point tickets.

But yeah Lol... been hearing how this game wasn't gonna make it for about 15 years now..
I'm still here.. and so are some of my friends and guildmates.. and looking around Stratics I see many familiar faces from other shards..
Course I play on several shards now myself.. Catskills is getting empty.. but thats a good thing.. my house is looking like a rich mans house now with lots of empty space around it.

Yeah sure, its a great thing that no one plays anywhere but Atlantic ... </sarcasm>

The game might still be around, but that's only a testament to the low overhead it takes to keep running -- and not to how healthy the state of the game is.

This was by far the best event UO has had. Simple, fun and the boss actually dropped excellent loot. I remember farming her for hours and hours. Tons of great items and rares.
