That's right folks. I've turned in my resignation as moderator.
Before anyone starts attempting to take credit... No, despite numerous attempts... me leaving is not the result of anyone getting me fired or me getting in trouble. This dragon is getting older and has other things that require her attention.
With that being said, Athelas will still be here. If anyone of you have any questions, feel free to poke him. I think it is a good idea for this forum to have two moderators, so I encourage anyone who is interested to apply. This is an unpaid volunteer position. You will need to have a thick skin and have the ability to not take things personally. You also must be as impartial as possible and that includes spanking your friends when they deserve it. Your life in-game and your moderator actions should be completely separate. I'd say on average I put in about 10 hours a week between checking forums, answering questions on the forum and via PM, calming folks down and of course, spankings behind closed doors. Your job as a moderator should not only be to enforce the rules, but to promote and encourage this community to be the best it can be. Title the email "Application for Moderator - Rares Forum" to help keep it from being missed.
