I just want to log in and play my game, but I can't because this friggin patch is taking forever. Can't they just trash this KR adventure as a failure already?

This big KR patch is annoying.

Each of the KR patches has taken almost a half hour to APPLY on my client after the big download was complete. I have no idea why.

I actually loaded that client by accident. I have since removed the link from my desktop.
I've got it installed, kinda in hopes that one day it might actually work properly. I even added the 'bitter black' player made ui, because it stops crafting screwing up if you fail. But I still can't stock vendors in it, the freeform backpack is still unusable.
I understand that it is difficult running the most complex multi-player game available. I just feel they picked the wrong direction when they started the KR venture. It is obviously a mistake and the game would be far better off if they invested their time in a new direction... like fixing flaws in the current 2d game.
At this point, I keep it installed and download EVERY patch and try it...so I can say yes, I have tried it when I complain about everything I don't like about it, and give specific examples.

Say Skylark, When ya'll talked about the KR patch taking too long. I was wondering when because I've played everyday this week and my client never downloaded a new patch. I was wondering whether ya'll use dial up or something I've got cable so any patches have downloaded fast for me. Did'nt take long at all when it patches that is.

It isn't the DL that is long it is the APPLICATION of the patch following that takes an eternity, although the 800 MB KR patch a while back made me choke.
It has taken a half hour after the DL is complete to apply each time they have had any significant KR patch. I have experienced the same thing on 6 Mb DSL and 7 Mb cable (ran the connections concurrent for a while, now just back to cable).

Ok Skylark my bad I always thought it was connection related. Since I really have'nt had a decent patch for KR yet I'll keep waiting what version are ya'll on? I'm on 2.53.0.2
