"This action can be used only inside a macro" - trap box problem

Before the latest patch I would drag my trap box into a hotbar and assign a hotkey to it. This worked fine.

I made a new character today and everytime I try and drop the trap box onto the hotbar it tells me:

"This action can be used only inside a macro"

UPDATE: Deleted the character profile and made another and now it works ok.
