Thinking of coming back...

I downloaded the client and am currently playing the 14-day trial. Having just sworn off of WoW for good, I was thinking of coming back to my roots. I still have the username and password for one of my old accounts, but I don't remember what characters are on it. In the span of so many years, I racked up a good 6 or 7 accounts and this is the only one I apparently remember, or have associated with my current e-mail. My question is, how do I find out the characters on that account, their belongings, and skills, without paying to reactivate it? If I didn't have anything worthwhile on the old account, I'd rather pay to upgrade and use this trial one to avoid losing the work I put into it so far.

There's no way to find out, unless you're on during one of those periods (usually around the end of September) where inactive accounts can play for free.

Personally, I'd go for the older account, because of the time already invested in them - and if people see the older characters, they might actually remember you.

Or, you can just spend the extra $13 or so one month, activate the old account, see what the account holds, and decide whether you want to keep 2 accounts, or transfer stuff from one to another.

Do note that, under the right conditions, you might be able to recover other accounts as well (if you have the original billing info and install CD codes), but that's much later.

One real deciding factor would be the age of the old account, from the vet rewards, and the equipment the characters might have. If the account was last played before Age of Shadows, its equipment is probably junk, but other belongings might be worth much more.

I was going to say 'my UO' but that only shows the characters that have been online for the past 30days...

guess you'll just have to dig deep into your memory..
