One of the lots I visited tonight had a line-up of 6 tip jars right at the very front of the lot. They sat on distinctive tiles so they stood out. Very easy to see.
A little while after I got there, this convo took place (names changed to protect the stupid).

Visitor: hey [roomie name] wheres ur tip jar?
Roomie: Right out front by the mailbox.
Visitor: waht mailbox?
Roomie: Right there in front where u landed.
Visitor: ok thanks. you should put them where ppl can find them - just freindly advise.

LOL!
Later, at a different lot, different sims:

Visitor: wheres ur bathroom?
Roomie: right behind you
Visitor: where?
Roomie: the room with all the toilets and showers.
Visitor: ok thanks.

Boring? Not tonight.

Roomie: Please tip so we can continue to provide food to you and so we can expand to offer more items.

Visitor (while making money items): I would, but I don't have any money.

At a town hall meeting
Will not say the name of visitor...or the other...



Roomate : "Visitor # 28 Go!"
Visitor : "#28??? What's that?"
Another visitor : "It's your question number."
Roomate : "Visitor # 28 Go!!!!!!"
Visitor : "What number are we on?"



It was annoying and funny at the same time.

If it was my money house I wouldn't be so worried about tips...cause of the kickback from the money items
