The Voting System Flawed

I think if we vote on anything in the future, the cards should not be tradable. I guess it is fair that the simolean be renamed by the ones with the most. I was not pleased to see a store buying the voting cards, he is deleting all but EADollars. He only has 7 on his lot that I can see. How many cards did he delete though? From the poll here on stratics it looks like eBucks should have it hands down.

Simone I completely agree with you that the cards have no business being sold but I think the house should have stayed anonymous. It's wrong to be able to buy someones vote. Just like the mystic tree, the voting may becaom a debacal(spelled write)?

Can you imagine if one of the names ending in ''ucks or ux" wins?
I can only imagine future phrases or poems using any of those. LOL

To me it's really, pitiful and sad that players would actually 'buy' votes. But it's still the sims and some folks will do anything to get ahead.

Vote cards should be 'untradeable'. (May we leave Mystics to another thread and not spoil this one.)

In fact, why not just have a pop up screen when you log into EAland asking which one your prefer....click on it and then proceed into the city?

That is what I had expected, when they said we would be voting in game. Something clickable. The way they did it would have worked well, if they could not be traded or sold. Since they have that ability already in game to count the amount left. The ones not voting would have deleted all their cards or left all of them. In either case making their vote worthless.
At least they only win bragging rights. If that one wins I will give the devs the credit for naming it. Since that was included in Parizads post until it was suggested by a player. I thought it should not even be allowed as player submitted.

I don't think this thread is stupid, I think its a very valid concern. What if there is voting in the future?

I think the cards should have been non-tradeable. For this vote, I don't really care since I don't like any of the names.

I personally find ALL the options as bland as the game's name. Until last night I hadn't made up my mind, but I've now come to be fond(er..than the rest) of EADollars, simply because it sounds better verbally, or when talking to others who haven't been exposed to the game. "Dollars" sounds more professional than "bucks" in my opinion, and takes away from the child-like feel we've all been mentioning lately (the logo, etc).

The thread was not started so I could purchase cards. If I wanted to purchase cards it would be 6 EADollar ones to delete. Hey Hey,
I am sorry if I have hurt anyone or destroyed the game in any way for you, simply put this together this morning when I sat down at the computer and said "Hey, who do I want to be today?" Of course TradeMark was the answer!
As for the money, well this money came from the thousands of flags that have been sold at my property, I felt I was doing good learning about the different people, places and cultures and then distributing it back to those same people. No fame no glory asked for nor accepted. At the same time giving my roomies and myself something to do today, some fun today, maybe even make friends but it has turned out so horribly wrong. Actually did make a friend

A pic that hides the name of the person in question does not break the stratics policy.

You can post a pic of the scammer as long as the name is blanked out.

The problem is when the pic was first posted, it showed the house name, owner name and a conversation. So it did name the person. Since then, it has been fixed but that was part of the problem with this post in the begining.

It was fixed an hour before she posted. That is why I accused her of creating an acct to post here. She was commenting on something that just was not there (anymore). This is still the only thread she has posted in. She is a troll for sure. I can repost the pic I originally used. I do not believe it is against the rules. It is a screen shot of something that anyone can see in game. It is not like I was suggesting he did something I could not prove. He has not broken any rules. The cards are tradable. He has since posted himself and we know it to be true. If I would not have used a screen shot I woud have been told to prove it or something. Sometimes you just can't win.
I could have sworn we were told it would be 1 vote per paying acct. But with this system it is not the way it is. I hope it is changed, if we are to vote again. This person does not know me in game, as far as i know. If they do plz send me a message so we can sort this out. I will not reply to that posting name again.

I don't know the hidden agendas and whatever reasons everyone has for posting everything... So no comments on that.

However, the concern that voting cards can be traded is a valid one and needs to be fixed. What if we could sell our voting rights in real life, what kind of world would we live in - if those with the most amount of money determined how we should live, and what our society should look like?
(It's like that a bit already I guess, especially in America with all those expensive campaigns your politicians have and whatnot, but not to this extent.)

This thread also probably served as a great advertisement for this guy's card buying "service". If you have no hidden agendas you shouldn't put up a picture with an arrow to where his house is and all that.
