As many of you are aware, I recently withdrew from the Vesper gubernatorial election in light of my daughter Willow's kidnapping. Given the timing of the kidnapping I believed (and still believe) that it was politically motivated, and it was my hope that after the election Willow's captors would no longer need to keep her imprisoned. However, she has not been released. I fear she may have learned too much about her captors for them to let her go--she's always been the inquisitive type.
During my initial frantic search for her, I came across a suspicious scene beneath the Lycaeum, where Willow often went to study. Blood had been splashed across one of the bookcases. I feared that the culprits might return and remove the evidence, so I took one of the bloodstained books with me.
Indeed, when I went back a bit later the blood was gone. However, word of Willow's kidnapping had reached the ears of King Blackthorn himself, and after the next Council meeting the King was gracious enough to exercise his powerful arcane knowledge in examining the book.
He determined two things. Firstly, the book held traces of very powerful translocation magics, the likes of which the King estimated perhaps only a dozen or so individuals besides himself could have achieved. Secondly, the blood on the book actually belonged to two people--one male and one female.
The King also recommended using a bloodhound to try to track the blood from the book and the person or persons who stuck the note on the auction house door.
Therefore, on Friday, July 11th at 8PM EST, the search for Willow will begin in earnest. We will meet at the Moonglow bank and proceed to the Lycaeum to see if any clues remain, then proceed to the Vesper Auction House and try to track the kidnapper(s) from there.
I can only hope that Willow is still alive and unharmed! Please join me and help find her.
I am offering a reward of half a million gold pieces for each verifiable belonging of Willow's that help lead us to her! If during the course of our investigations you find anything that appears to belong to Willow, please bring it to me!
(Please note that clues will ONLY be out during each event!)
