Balthan couldn't believe what he was seeing. Boulders and rocks blocked the entrance through the valley, He had come back to check on the young woman, Callie, that he had led there some weeks ago. Her curious talk of artifacts and plans of putting Vesper on the map had given him a good chuckle at the time. Callie hadn't been seen at the Vesper Museum in weeks, and the patrons were worried. They had contacted Balthan to try and find her,as he was the last to have seen her.
Now he had found this. How was he suppose to get through all this rock and rubble to see if he could find her? Surely she had gotten out in time. He had heard there were renegades and all kinds of bad sorts lurking through the valley now.It was bad enough that in the cities, raiders were making daily attacks, now this!
As Balthan was searching for a way in, a young warrior road past.
"Oy! You on the horse!Stop!" he yelled. The young warrior, resplendently decked out in all manners of fighting gear, reined his horse to a stop.
"Whats happened here and do you know a way in?" Balthan asked.
" Well gypsy, it seems there has been a great fight inside, and there are grave robbers who are trying to get artifacts of the Meer and Jukan. I know there is a way over the mountain. I am headed to Ver Lor Reg in search of answers on how to do just that! They need to be stopped!" he cried as he wheeled his horse around and sped off.
Balthan stood in thought for a moment. "Grave robbers, fighting...too much for this old gypsy. I'll have to ask for help,then go to Ver lor Reg to find out whats happening."
