Hey Everyone,
With this newest publish, I am kinda at a standstill on my fencing Sampire.
The current template is:

Base is 720
Str 125
Dex 120
Inl 10

120 Fence
120 Bushido
120 Parry
120 Tactic
120 Chivarly
120 Anatomy

Any ideas...
I use a woodland suit ...thanks

Hello,

first of all I´d like to clearify something.
Can you tell me where the "ampire" of your "sampire" is?

With the stated skills, you are running a Samurai with 120 Chiv.

Personally I´d rather have swords than fencing, but I guess that depends on what you want to do with it.
Since you got Fencing you could lower your dexterity significantly (80 + what you lose when cursed).

If you could post what you want to add or what you are looking for, it might be easier to figure something out :)

You can still do just fine with 60 chivalry. Still had 50% DI from Enemy of One, Divine Fury will still increase some stamina (I didn't test how much), but you can just use total refresh potions. Consecrate Weapon isn't near as useful (60% or so chance to target lowest resist rather than guaranteed like it currently is) but just get 100% elemental damage weapons to fix that.

Is the dilema the missing 99 points of necromancy?
yes.

op,
120wpn skill, 100 in rest with 100 necro or
120 wpn skill/bush/parry, with others at 100 and +skill jewels/items or
drop chiv to 30ish and carry enough +skill jewels/items to get 70-75 chiv so u can res

lots of options

Resist isn't really necessary in PvM.

Nice to have? Sure. But I've never used it on my sampire and I do fine.

GM resist in PvM i've found to be a waste (unless you're fighting harrower to reduce blood oath dmg). Even with GM resist, against level 4 spawn or sometimes even level 3 a mana drain still works on you.

I'm probably going to leave my sampires as is with 65 chiv. I have 30 skill points in Parry that I could allocate towards chiv and still maintain my 300 skill points, so if I need to put more in chiv I'll do that.

Temp is (with 15 skill points on ring)
swords 120
tact 120
anat 120
bush 120
necro 99
parry 90
chiv 66

Would change to
swords 120
tact 120
anat 120
bush 120
necro 99
parry 60 (still 20% parry chance with 120 bush so, and maintain mana discount on AI)
chiv 96

Sorry to be a complete idiot. I've been out and will be out for another couple of weeks. Thanks for the thoughts that Samps are still viable Lynk.

What about whammies, and other dexxer temps. I'll be doing more reading as I have a chance but some pointers would be helpful. I feel like I will be coming back to a new game. Is that assessment correct or am I making more of this publish than I need to?

If you dont change your sampire at all, it will still work. If you're at 65 chiv then your consecrate will be less effective and you won't hit quite as hard.

You will still be able to solo high end content though.

Lynk could you please post the best possible template for skill cap of 700 ( quite young acc, no money for 120 scrolls )
and set of cheapest items i shall get to be able to solo high end content:)

Thank you

I'm not Lynk, but if I had to go with a budget 700 point template:

macing 120
tact 100
anat 100
bush 100
necro 99
parry 100
chiv 81

with the goal of getting tactics and bushido to 120 (dropping parry to 60 along the way)

This would be fairly inexpensive (prob 100-250k for 120 mace scroll). You can get someone to imbue you a blackstaff and go whirlwind at champ spawns until you have the money to purchase better scrolls.

To be honest, you'll spend much more on making your ultimate armor (and buying mace and shield glasses) than the 120 scrolls you want for the finished character.

If you really wanted to go cheap, you could just put on a set of virtue armor with jewelry (HCI, DCI, LMC, DI), talisman (Void, bloodwood totem), robe (whatever you have that is useful), & quiver of infinity.

Thanks, may i ask why mace?
i have asked in game and ppl said Sword > Mace cuz of radiant scimitar ( is cheaper and faster i guess )
also Lynk suggested sword over anything else ~~

Each weapon category has perks.

Personally, I prefer the Black Staff to the Radiant Scimitar. It really depends on play styles. The scimitar is 1 handed, so would allow you to drink potions. Where as the Black Staff is 2 handed and does a little more damage (13-16 opposed to 12-14 base).

Overall, I prefer Fencing to swords or macing because of the Leafblade. But, you really can't go wrong with any of them.

Ideally, you get all three melee skills at 120 and keep the two you're not using on soulstones.

I actually have every weapon skill minus throwing capped at 120 on my sampire, although my archery is on a soulstone at just 115.2 at the moment. Just for versatility.

It's because Macing weps (Especially Q-Staffs) do more Stamina damage than any other wep. Over a period of time, slowing down your opponent's attack speed can really reduce the amount of damage you take. I personally prefer the Black Staff over the Radiant Scimitar for AoE WW because it is two handed, higher Parry chance with Bushido.

All of the melee skills are viable. I like macing too for war axe armor ignores and blackstaff whirlwinds. 120 mace is cheap too for a starting sampire. Seriously, the most important purchase of all for any warrior (even more important than weapons and armor) is a 120 power scroll in a melee skill.

Please choose a favorite melle skill.

Swordmanship
It is a lot of kinds of weapon.
Good AI,feint,double strike weapon.
Power scrool price is the highest among three kinds of.

Fencing
Leafbrade is great.
But not good whilwind attack weapon.
If you fight only by one enemy, fencing is good.

Mace fighting
Mace have more stamina damage.
Power scrool is cheep.
But not good feint & double strike weapon, and making elemental black staff is very hard.

I used 3 melle powerscrool, I choose mace fighting.:D

Those who responded have some good advice, but the simple reason was cost. Mace fighting powerscrolls sell for much less than fencing or swords. You can obtain one quickly for not a ton of gold, get out to farm resources, scrolls, gold, etc., and then sell/trade those for the other scrolls you want.

I have made enough for sampires and curse weapon wraith form killer for certain boss

I foresee the trend will be many types of life leeching monsters going around, so its better to make a char not a sampire and curse weapon killer; instead focus some other template on healing + anatomy instead.

Currently, I have been using an interesting warrior that is able to solo blue demon without running and discordance

which no sampires or wraith form curse weap warrior can ever do.

I he refers to the minions of scelestus as blue demons, i used a plain samurai.
120 fencing ( leafblade is a must)
120 healing
120 anat
120 bushido
90 tactics
80 parry
80 chiv

Works well enough with some practice.
