The old NM/dragon or WW combo not worth it any more?

Hi :)

This has probably been discussed before, and I just couldn't find the right thread yet. If so, please just point me there.

I was wondering if it was always better to train a pet upt to five slots vs. having the old, pre-patch NM and dragon or WW combo? I would have thought that two well trained pets together, even if they are only GM, would still be better than just one, but obviously, that is not the case (else no-one would be training their pets up to five slots). But I would like to be really, really sure that it is worth giving up the combo before I start training them, since once I start their training, I can't get this possibility back.. :) So any thoughts and experiences (test results?) would be very appreciated.

It's better to train to 5 slots now. Adding resists, regens, maxing strength and base damage, as well as adding special abilities/magics makes a BIG difference.
