Now open and located about a screen & a half south from the Compassion Shrine.
The Hunting Lodge is designed for use by melee fighters, casters, archers, tamers & bards. Lower level characters can fight the local fauna and anyone can use Tang's Monsters A-Z runebooks to fight just about any monster in UO. A full set is on the 2nd floor. You can pick your poison from the Hunting Lodge.
Goza mat extensions on the 1st floor allow melee fighters to fight from all 4 sides - & yes, you can walk off the back and the west sides, so be careful. The 2nd floor is also open on all 4 sides to give new mages a safer vantage point from which to cast. The 3rd floor club room is a snug place to chat and the roof garden is a green spot in an otherwise bleak desert.
Oh, and thanks to the generosity of many experienced Atlantic players, FREE FRED, the vendor at the Hunting Lodge, carries all free items for new players.
The Hunting Lodge is useful for skilling up, for guild outings, and as a training place for new characters. Everybody is welcome.
