Apparently not. At least on Sonoma there's a ton of people hanging out in there.

yea ive seen people purposely walkin on wrong tiles around outside of the room to kill the timing out toons. main reason i always walk my characters in and out once a day is so that some jerk doesnt try to bk me (boulder kill hehe)

If you stand way in the back of the room any rocks falling on others will do little to no damage to you. Also there a timer, you can only do the puzzle a couple times a days with really long breaks between those, as it will not allow you to take another right away. I been there maybe 5 times myself since the 8th, the first time I was so screw up on the puzzles that I had to ask for help in solving them here. Sad case I was, had not a clue on how to do the puzzles. My best prize was the board, I put it in the baker's area at the THB LP house. Got two of the kneading bowls, one is at the LP house, got two of the totems poles, one at the LP house, the other is on a vendor somewhere.

You can do it on all your characters.

Yes the chars I don't use are parked in the far corner and are not hit by the exploding people.
