The Fall of Torchwood

Tis a sad day. Recent events have crippled Torchwood's Outpost in Ter Mur.

First with the assassination of an ambassador from Ter Mur. This destroyed relations with the Gargoyle Royal City.

Soon after there was a complete ransacking of the outpost by Brigands.

On both occasions, the Queen and her crown did little to help.

The investigation of the assassination was handled poorly. Information I gathered and handed to the Queen's lead detective was misplaced. Leads were not followed up on. Thus, we lost any hope of repairing the bond we first formed with Ter Mur and the Queen of the Royal City.

The ransacking of the outpost did far greater damage. Where were the Queen's men? Where was the help in our time of greatest need? Ranger's were sent to inform the Queen of this attack, yet no reinforcements every arrived.

Now the outpost is abandoned and the tavern lays condemned and will "fall" SOON !!

A new tavern has been built in Kijustsu Village with the help of Lord Gareth. Any supplies/items we were able to salvage have been shipped there.

We thought this would be a great new beginning. However, once again, I find a lack of support from our Queen. Von Trinsic attacked the village, where i'm trying to start anew, with a band of orcs, trolls and ogres. Guess what? No defense of our lands from the Queen !! Again, there was no support.

I Gunga Din, hereby renounce the Crown and the rule of Queen Dawn. I find her unfit to lead and protect us. I'm not sure how others feel, but this is my stance. Perhaps I should speak with Von Trinsic.

I am rather intrigued by Von Trinsic proposal. With the new SOULS group around, Moria corruption, Samantha Kent being pursued and Lady Jessica after the Goblins Kijustsu Anei may find itself stuck between a rock and a hard place.

(OOC note: We did not set this storyline up with the EMs and we were actually caught off guard by it but, are happy to get some evil interaction)

Hmmm, this has me perplexed as I doubt seriously that Queen Dawn has reign in the lands of Ter Mur and Tokuno. I thought Ter Mur had a gargoyle queen, and that Tokuno is governed by the Empress.

Wow. I just realized that the lands of the Chesapeake have become quite matriarchal.

I will also point out that defense of the various townships should fall upon the leaders of the towns.

I believe it is time for Guardians Gate and other townships to consider how we will treat those who have opposing allegiances (those townships/individuals for the crown vice those townships/individuals opposing the crown).

I foresee very interesting and dynamic times ahead.
