The Dragon and the Beast

Stratics Legend
It was such a day, as days may happen. Lady Tamerella, an Elder tamer in the world of Origin, decided to join the battle in Moonglow. But before that should start, she wanted a powerfull dragon.
So she went to Destard, where the dragons live, after changing her nice looking cloth vs. some robust but ugly.
Sneaking around between the huge reptiles, she selected one of them for his beauty - this red dragon I want, she thought. It was not only looking beautiful, but had also nice scales protecting its life and looked very powerfull and mighty. So Tamerella took her magic crook and directed this dragon to a less busy area.
She was not alone, with her was Martin the Mage as member of the Life insurance staff to give life back to her corpse just in case.
So she started to talk to the dragon. But the dragon didn't even want to hear her words. As soon as she revealed, Tamerella got attacked with all the arts. Heavy bite, paralysis, bleed attacks, more bites and a bunch of spells, toasted spicy with a nice dragon firebreath - and she was dragon toast - again and again. Outrunning was hard - the gods did not allow her to run as fast as her counterpart on Drachenfels and she did not master the final arts of Hiding.
Even if she could talk some more words to the dragon, he prefered to eat her before she could come to an end. And the few times she could end her lovely talking, the dragon did shake his head unwilling to accept anything of what she told.

3 hours and more than 100 deads later still the same situation. Tamerella gave up and must live without that dragon now, who returned to his treasures and is guarding them against that tamer beast, who wanted to pull him away from his beautiful home.

Nice story. I'd write about my Greater Dragon experiences, but it'd be a short story with no indications of a happy ending.

Lady Tamerella ought to have brought a bard with her as Avalac'h the Tamer did. Listening to a bard's music may soothe the angry beast and open it's ears to Tamarella's silent whispers.
