btw from above comments ....why would u use a kryss that hits twice as soft just because its not brittle.....whooooooppeeeeedooooo it gonna last 6/8x as long ..u can repair the brittle weapons and in effect they last a long long time...ksara...each to there own...i know which i prefer using....twice/ the damage thankyou every day of the week!!

its good to see someone trying to get to know loot, and value. its difficult. if you look around the forums youll get to know what is good eventaully. and often things sell better in game on a vendor than on here.
for splintering, test one out yourself. youll see why brittle is generally no good.
yes, you can repair it, but the main factor in why brittle is avoided is because if your out pvping, you dont want to have to recall out if your weapon needs repairs. you will let it go into the max dura and then just powder it. if you do this with brittle it ruins the weapon.
a splinter proc loses 10 durability every time it procs, so with 20 percent splinter and 255 durability, youll only get about 50 swings before it gets to 0. and you really want to repair your weapon around 20 or 30 dura (not 0) so thats more like 40 swings.
they do work very well for a casual pvper, but in the end its a throwaway weapon. in general, even the best brittle splinterings only get around 5 to 10 mil.
the only exception is -20 or -15 SC mageweapons. because these are really only used for defense, not actively attacking, they proc way less so are "worth" using
personally, i like brittle splintering. you can get sick weapons. but you also break them and then throw them away. so not worth much
other things that are "bad" on pvp weapons is hit area effect. most people avoid these because of the un-intentional flagging from the hit area.
with all pvp weapons have to consider specail moves.
in geneneral only 1 handed weapons have any value at all (with the exception of hatchets, and no-dachis(riding swipe)
specials like disarm, bleed, paralyzing blow, armor ignore, infected strike (but para-blow you cant have hit magic arrorow or fireball because it interuppts, only hit lighting is ok)
to lesser extent high damage, slow weapons are ok but only for a very very few templates. like say a lance with 30 splinter and 30 swing speed and 50 hit spell / effect would be good for a deathstriker.
some people also seem to like wakisashis / bokutos with splinter
But, the vast majority of splintering weapons are junk. you have to get a good weapon, plus just about everyone is looking for at least 2 mods (say splinter / hit spell) and the only ones fetching very high value (like over 100m) are usually going to have higher than 20 splinter, or have 20 splinter plus 2 mods (like 20 splinter, 50 hld, 50 hitspell)
as you can see alot goes into what makes something valueable, its alot to know if your not used to it. good to see you are trying, youll get something good eventually. yes, it can be frustrating because 99 percent of loot is garbage, and these boards have a pretty high threshold / expectation of whats worth selling.
your doing right thing, if you dont know better to post even if its worthless than lose out on billions of gold for something good. ive seen players vendor things for 5mil that are worth 500 just because they dont know. good luck, know it can be frustrating.
personally, id put that kryss on a vendor for 3 - 10 mil and someone will buy it. If it werent brittle it would be worth around 50, higher if it had better hit spell like lighting and higher again if it had hit lower defense.
