Don't forget - "Send me an email and I'll look into it".Naturally I'll watch it. Thanks for posting the reminder. I expect to hear "That's something we can do", "We'll look into that", and a rare "That's not on our radar". Then nothing will happen. *sigh* Not being negative, just realistic. I'm really not sure why they do them. There's nothing in the current publish that does much for me. Maybe I can get an idea where they are going next and keep my fingers crossed it's something good.
Mesanna actual does get back to you sooner or later if you email her. She's the only bright star of UO (or would the Dark Lady be a dark star?). She really does care and does what she can. About the only "thing" in UO I have confidence in.Don't forget - "Send me an email and I'll look into it".
Yup. I just woke up from a preparatory afternoon nap so that I don't fall asleep in the middle of running itThis will be DEEEEEEP in the night here in Europe
Don't get me wrong, I actually like Mesanna quite a bit. So my comment is more of a playful jab than a sarcastic retort. However that being said, while I admire her dedication and willingness to communicate directly players to handle their issues - I also think it shows a fundamental flaw with UO service that the producer has to field so many of these issues that should be handled by regular support staff etc.Mesanna actual does get back to you sooner or later if you email her. Now you say Europe and the title of this thread says countdown...This will be DEEEEEEP in the night here in Europe
noobsHow funny, I grew up on Europe and the other hair bands.
Think about UO's population, Just say 10k people for argument sake and if 10% sent her an email a month that's 1k emails to read/respond. That doesn't sound fun especially when you have other things to doMesanna actual does get back to you sooner or later if you email her. The real deal could have been liked as well, just like this:
Our questions? From the "Ask the Devs"-Forum? Or was there a separate thread? Randomly picked questions? Will one question also be about the state of the steam release?Your questions will be asked by Stratics staff Petra Fyde, Lady Tia and Flair.
The UO Team would like to invite everyone to join us for a State of the UO Address on Wednesday 17th September at 7pm EST.
If you would like to have us answer any questions you may have that you have always wanted to ask us please submit them by email to [email protected] or on the thread generated by this post on stratics forums over the next two days after which the thread will be locked. Emails received after the deadline will not be included.
That's the job. If no one else can do it, then what can ya do. If you send it to support she just gets it anyway, lol. Only so many people around these days.Think about UO's population, Just say 10k people for argument sake and if 10% sent her an email a month that's 1k emails to read/respond. I think you've hit on a drinking game!taking bets on how many times mesanna's answer to a problem is "send me an email"
Pfffff.... they should have put that meet & greet transcript into a separate post.
Since its now been several years since this project was started, and we've only been given one glimpse of redone wall tiles two years ago, I'm guessing no. Its way past time for them to SHOW US some of this allegedly revamped art. Right now, its 100% smoke and mirrors.So... Has any progress actually been made on the new EC art? It sounded like they kinda just put it off until they could find a player to pawn it off on.
in 2009 Kurgan, with help from Lord Nabin, ran a castle design contest..... rules were simple, stay within the footprint (and possibly height) of the current castles... three of the entries can be seen in this thread: http://stratics.com/community/threads/a-challenge-for-all-you-home-makers.132762/As for a new castle design, Galen or Dermott or someone posted a pic of a different castle 1-2 years ago that looked awesome. Seemed very space friendly.
Perhaps someone can post that pic here again for the devs to see. I liked that design.
And thanks for the video session, Stratics folks and devs.
No, not really.Yeah have they actually said anything about what they plan on doing in the next year? Specifically? Not just all "oh yeah we might work on that"

I've never been able to locate the thread that had all the entries in it
Kurgans housebuilder broke. We need a program that will allow us access to the pieces.Lets get another Keep and Castle design contest underway pronto!
It's feedback like this will help us outline the scope of what kind of crafting "love" may be in store for the future. We didn't offer more details because we are still very early in the conversation. They did not give any concrete insight into publish 87 and its focus.
The one recurring theme was crafting "love" at some point in the future. I wanted to hear more details on what skills they consider crafting. I hope this includes an update for inscription and alchemy in addition to the traditional crafting skills (blacksmithing, tailoring, carpentry, tinkering). I personally would like to see a 120 power scroll for all crafting skills with new recipes, BODs, and useful things you can make with each.
