Christine Keel walked out of Castle Britannia. Magnus Grey was leaning against the wall of the old guard house.
"Interesting letter of resignation, Captain Keel."
"How did you know? I only just dropped it off."
"Spy."
She smiled and then sighed. They walked to the closest tavern to talk of Dawn's death, the spies and guards, and future plans.
Letters of marque in her pocket, the new captain of the Crimson Pearl climbed aboard the ship that had been her childhood home. She felt truly at ease for the first time in more than a year.
