" The Awakening "
The war torn and battered Lieutenant awoke troubled and sweating from another hard nights sleep since the events that transpired with the death of Queen Dawn. Still in disbelief, Braddock mourns the loss of the realms leader. Taken by the treachery he sought to put asunder he shoulders the burden of her death as if it came from his own hand. Begrudgedly he has put down the mead and realizes life must go on. There are urgent matters still left to be attended to he reminds himself. He packs his bags and prepares for the long sail ahead...
The lands are without leadership, the Crown of Britiannia goes unclaimed. He reminds himself he is what is left of the Queens Guard. The lone figure in the rule of the throne. Today he sets forth from his bungalow in Nujelm towards the city of Britain, to restore order to the castle and remind it's citizens that they are not without protection. Heavy hearted he boards the royal navy ship sent for him bound for the capital city. Those nobles left of advisory positions have requested his presence. He will offer his loyalty once more to guide the realm in its time of need for he knows evil still lurks in the shadows. Braddock knows without a working monarchy the city is vunerable. He struggles to forsee the throne without a proper ruler atop it. Feeling unworthy of the realms trust, He will seek it none the less. He shall assume command of the guard until such time another leader can be appointed.
First upon his scrolled list he carries in his uniformed pocket, is to seek out the leader of the various towns in the realm and garner thier support in search of a new leader as well as retain thier alliegiance to the crown of Britannia. He has already prepared orders soon be delivered to Killian the Royal Surveyor to visit these towns, settlements, and empires. Along with that he will soon seek aid from the gargoyle Queen Zhah as well. Braddock as well as the nobles believe in the Gargish Queen as she proved most trustworthy during recent events. The nobles seek temporary methods of rule until which time a new monarch shall reside.
Feeling the salty air on his face he grasps tightly the hilt of the sword now residing in his sheath. The last trusted assignment of the late Queen, Braddock now wields a most sought after weapon. The weapon discovered by Dawn and sought after by an evil he soon like to forget. He guards it with his life, for he knows with his reemergance that same evil will soon reappear as well. Bracing for the days ahead, he instructs the tiller to to make land in Yew before traveling to the capital. He must pray at the foot of the Queens grave.....
