The answer to duping: Auction System?

I can't help but think how this recent mess could have been avoided if UO would adopt some sort of universal fair trading system for all to use. This way, the market stays competitive and it would be much easier for them to track who is selling what item(s). I understand it's not going to happen overnight but considering...I would think this would be on the top of the to do list.

I agree. Defeats the whole purpose of "shopping"

However, I wouldnt mind somthing like a bulletin board or somthing else that is basically a searchable database of all items for sale on the entire server. Once you find what your looking for, you "pull a page off the board" and it gives you either a rune or the coords to the vendor, and you go n pick it up yourself.
