I believe that was when the agreement to become the "Unofficial-Offical" Forums was made, there Fansite agreement with Mythic (at the time it was Mythic anyways) prevents any RMT, so it was brought to an abrupt stop.

The Devs and past ownership had worked out an agreement, where Stratics would fufill many of the roles of an official forums for UO, but without the Official status.
Basically, it means we run a forum for them for free, and do all the work for them for free, but since we aren't actual UO employees they can't say we are "official" because the developers do not have direct control or ownership over the website. However even though we aren't "official" this is the forum they seem to like the most, and they choose to post here instead of other forums, making us the "Unofficially Official" forums.
