Greetings,
I would like to send out a thank you to everyone that voiced concerns and gave support to the Great Lakes shard over the past 24 hours with the issue I posted earlier about Luna and some surrounding areas with missing items on a massive scale.
Though the revert was quick ( I would like to thank the powers that be for that also ) I understand for some people the game gain during the revert time period caused losses and I am sorry for that. When any of us loose something we have worked hard for it is difficult.
Because of my personal panic, as I own several plots in Luna and as a Great Lakes Reporter I received tons of PMs and emails, not to mention my phone was ringing about the issue, I made many posts about this happening.
These posts were on many shards not just Great Lakes and UOHall. Some readers only go to their home shard to read the News.
Action needed to be taken quickly and the attention of this huge problem needed many voices and eyes to see and converse. We are a community even if you are a loner in the realm.
As a community hopefully we care about it even if it does not affect us directly at the time. If there was not a resolve to this issue many vet GL players would leave out of frustration not to mention a loss of UO history.
Some may laugh at this idea but one of the best player owned museums on GL was in Luna and its collection was 90% gone, many server birth items are housed there.
Some voiced that my posting on so many shards was spamming and out of line and they are entitled to that thought. However I do not agree. In the past I have played Baja for 10 months, Legends for 18 months and Great Lakes for more than 6 years. I am the Senior Reporter for Great Lakes, an occasional Reporter for Catskills and I have an honest concern for all shards even though I call Great Lakes home.
Again thank you to all the people from other shards that had sent encouraging PMs and emails during the mishap. I truly appreciate it and have spoken to many of the GL people in the realm and relayed this information to them and your warm wishes.
Also a shout out to all the Great Lakes players that were concerned for me personally and for the other GL people that live in and around Luna.
Fondly, Lady Lava
