The devs and everyone else at EA and on Stratics catch all kinds of flak for all kinds of things. I just wanted to say thank you very much for putting the pet vendors into the game. They've added a dimension to my game personally that has been missing since those early days of Trammel when I used to sell shovels to miners from my little marble workshop north of Britain on Chessy.

I love playing a merchant, but there was nothing that I loved to farm that anyone else wanted to buy, and I personally hate spamming GC. I love the way the pet vendors have been implemented. I love the way they work. I realize there have been some issues for some people, but I am confident those will get sorted. Thank you, and well done.

Yes Llewen it is something we have been asking for a long time, but I see a small hitch in the days alloted for that vendor. While on Atlantic the other day I noticed before a player knew they had won the spot many days went by so the 7 day timer was soon to expire even beofre they got merchandice up. I feel the timer should be at the least 2 weeks.

Also I noticed on most shards when I went around to see the average usage of this marvel was very low, and on one of the shards there was under 5 vendors total and only 2 had items up. I am not certin if this is a reflection of the tamers/vendor opperators on the shard or that the interes on that shard to utilize this is that low its going to stay unused.

Well, my experience has always been that the actual number of active pet sellers on a shard at any one time is generally pretty low - and this has been true throughout the history of the game. I think this is also a reflection of the fact that this is new, and the fact that you had to make a purchase to be able to use it. It doesn't particularly bother me that they aren't heavily used right now. I'm just glad that they are in game, and that I can use them. And for me personally, sales have been pretty brisk.

I think it is going to take some time for the "hard core" tamers who might not be used to selling pets to work out a fair price structure that adequately compensates them for the time spent in farming quality pets. I think also there are not many tamers who really understand what buyers are looking for in pets. Taming is the most popular, most reviled, and least understood of all the UO "professions", and that applies to the art of selling pets as well.

I haven't logged my tamer in for quite a while due to nice weather = more work & less game time but come this winter I will be starting up again and I will absolutely be bidding on a pet vendor stall.

It's a wonderful thing for those of us who can't log in during prime time to advertise (spam) our goods at crowded locations (Luna Bank). And even if I could do so I wouldn't because I've never liked sitting in one spot for too long. And I especially never liked sitting in one spot yelling "This for sale!" "That for Sale!" Makes me feel more like a hawker and less a merchant.

So I not only agree with ya, I whole heartily second it :)
