Blocking with a 2-handed weapon:
New = (Parrying * 10) * (Bushido * 10) / 41140 (Add 5% if Parrying or Bushido skill is 100 or above)

does it work with bows(archery) and/or mage weapons(magery)?

example:
120 magery, tactics, healing, anatomy, parry, bushido with a staff of magi

No, you need actual weapon skill, not UBWS or mage weps.

Parry and mage weapon seems to work just fine if its NOT a bow. I put magery on my Bush Vamp to train it up for my mage. with a -20 mage weapon ornate axe of uberness i came across, took it to miasma and had no trubble. not positive but give it a shot, though evasion will not work without weapon skill, and a few other things like specials that won't work. so it has potential on a dexxer if they rely totally on spells like lit strike.

It was much quicker to put mage on dexxer to train by bashing things heads in then casting ev's all day long. 109-113 in under an hour of miasma + lots of honor then i needed my mage so i put it back to her and grabed swords back.

And a Bush dexxer with mage instead of a weapon skill can lit strike like mad with a good mage weapon bow or a melee weapon no specials or evasion but super utility spellcasting is nice + with a good maxed out busher crits do huge dmg pvm.

Think about it if you only use lit strike for attacking 50 hci with weapon you can get by with low to 0 hci on gear letting you have some more options on your jewelry.


Again i am not positive on it but ill go to tc and try it out right now i have thought about this build for a long time now and have the uber weapons stashed away for it could make for a good doom runner.
