technical issue: Memory Problem when starting CC

Hi together,
even on a freshly startet computer i got "not enough memory error" while starting CC after the patch process. This seems to be happen since a few month(Pub97?). When i use

• uoassist
• the normal 2D Client link

But it works fine if I start client.exe directly. So if I am scipping the patching tool, everything is ok.
I turned on the XP compatibility box, run as admin, no font scalation with high DPI.
And I have enough disk space free, my virtual memory is fine (3xphysical memory) and so on.
oops. After some retries, also the client.exe shows not enough memory.
Nothing helps. Any ideas?

They've done something with the client and won't admit it, for the first time in quite a few years I got a message saying I was almost out of virtual memory. The only thing running was the classic client.

Odd, several of my friends including myself have been getting this message as well lately.
Never did before the publish

But was it on purpose or was a bug introduced in the client.

When i log in at 1280x720 I always have to reenter general chat. I always see black in the upper right and lower left part of the screen. Once I get on an ethy horse it all goes to normal.

I really think the memory leak, losing chat and screen are all related.

I had it happen a while back but not since the pet revamp. Just reboot and it works.

The startup screen for CC had always been a memory hog but if manifested itself if you left the login screen up while say going to grab a drink from the fridge. The longer you waited, the more it would run away with the memory. The new updates are probably only exacerbating the issue.

I'm also experiencing way too frequent client crashes lately. The latest happened simply clicking on the guild button.

Rebooted my pc last night, loaded classic client before anything else, got a memory error, but only on the first launch. Launched it a 2nd time without issue.

For me when I try to load it I get as far as picking my character but then it just closes. No warning, no error, just closes. Now fortunately I play in the EC mostly all the time... but I can't even run the CC at all anymore.

When I look at Norton it tells me that the CC used 100% of the memory of one core... which I'm guessing crashed it???

Don't know if it will help but I always open the client exe file instead of the one that brings up the update screen/loading page. I never crash.

I am having problems with running a second client I get failed file. soundlagacyMUL.uop is the file that it cant open. Any help would be great.
