Not the first post I wanted to post returning to the boards.

Could someone from tech support please contact me and answer my questions? I spent 12 hours trying to resolve a known bug issue and never actually talked to a tech support and I cannot find a way to talk to them directly. I am pasting what I have sent to EA about the issue.


First from the bug report:

Hello, I tried to transfer a house from my account to my wife's account. It said her account did not have enough lockdowns to do the trade and we had to lower the number of locked down items. I called support and they said she should have 20% storage increase because she had ML and 9th Anni. So, same as the account I was transfering from. They said that the gm could fix it. Paged the gm and rather than come to talk to me they sent canned response to send in bug report. The bug is known my wife found a report on it from 2007, so a fix should be available.


Then on EA site concerning customer service issues

How do I contact a supervisor for tech support and gm's. I wasted 12 hours trying to get an issue addressed and no one seemed to want to be responsible. Something that should have taken a few minutes was 12 hours of frustration. I was told by support that it could be fixed by a GM and no GM would even give me the courtesy of answering my page personally. Instead I was sent canned responses. Either the GM's can fix the problem or support should be able too. Especially when the bug involved is 4 years old.


I actually called support 2 times was told on second call that I could arrange a call back. SO I did and no one called. I then went on chat support and they added the codes for the 20% storage increase. So now the account should have 40% double what the account that now holds the house. Tonight I contacted the gm again as the chat people said they could fix the issue and got a canned response. So now I am looking to talk to tech support if someone can get me a phone number or email or they can pm me.

Given that much time already invested, wouldn't it have been easier and quicker to make the house private and use detect hidden on it, then unlock a couple of chests to reduce the item count, then transfer the house and resecure the chests?

It is a bug... it's been around for a while... obviously it is not fixed... so it's time to find a work-around.

We tried that did not. So thus my frustration. I can only hope that a tech pm's me or the gm supervisor.
