Has anyone successfully moved a property from the TC area to another TC area in the last week? I've been told TC to TC3 map move has worked, but when I try an "intra-TC" move I get error messages. I've tried repeatedly for the past week.

I did a quick search for similar question. Apologies if another thread is already discussing this.

Yes.

I successfully moved my property from one location in TC to another TC location.

I moved from the TC area of the map to TC3 the other day without any problems, sorry didn't try just within TC.

Are you always trying to move to the exact same location - could be the spot you've chosen is bugged? Have you tried several different spots within TC?

It worked for me, Dali. I moved my estate back to Paradise Island.

My move is strictly from TC to TC, and I tried several sites with no luck. I keep getting an error message.

Thanks for the input. It is useful to know that TC to TC moves have been working for others.

I did move to a lot that was more expensive than the one I owned. Are you trying to move someplace that costs less? Perhaps getting a refund is bugging you up?

That might be it. I don't care about the refund, I just want to be in what used to be Atlantis Coast, near Willing Labrat. Not that I wouldn't take a refund if it was forced on me...

OT: I really do like the "naked" map in TC. Hoods can be fun, but naked is better, IMO.

I'm never sure when you guys are being serious or sarcastic. Without any sarcasm at all I would like to say that I much prefer the map without all the neighborhood names. Nekkid is better!

LOL, Gracie. When I say I like the map nekkid -- I am totally serious. No sarcasm. I logged into BF the other day and the map was so ugly I felt really sad. I much prefer looking at the city lights.

Atlantis Coast? As I recollect there were not many 'level' lots available there. Mayhaps with all the snow that is causing the error?

Speaking of neighborhoods, I have tried, unsuccessfully it seems, to resurrect an ancient Alphaville neighborhood, SimArts, in anticipation of old codger sims in their wheelchairs returning to the game. Anyone know how many homes it takes to make the neighborhood visible on the city-view?

Similarly, that would be a nice surprise for labrat to find his neighborhood visible again!

A finite number of 'hoods can be visible, so visibility is determined by who has the largest 'hood population. I think.

I gave up on moving to Atlantis. I tried to move the property to a new TC3 'hood and got the error message, as well. Also, I no longer get a message about getting a refund, so that can't be the issue. No matter where I try to move I get the message that an error occurred. I guess I am stuck on my little peninsula, that in the olden days showed water on 3 sides. Poor me.

It also doesn't help that old TC is virtually invisible to search or other map functions.
Someday, when other more pressing issues are solved, maybe TC map issues can be addressed.

I moved one of my houses over one spot successfully in tc then moved back to the orginal spot successfully, however, I did not get my credit refunded back to me on either move which hurts since we don't have alot of money.

IMHO, CodeSkill Casino was property of Paradise Island. I feel that it should stay that way.

Labrat was a memorably figure from what I remember, but CodeSkill was on Paradise Island for years.

EDIT: @ Betty: I haven't seen you online in years! I thought you just had your account open for the 'just in case' element like I did. Let's revive Paradise Island together!

Well, my dear, your memory is inaccurate. I have lived in what was Atlantis Coast for much longer than my tenure on Paradise Island. Poor PI was difficult to see on the map, and had the asphalt running through it, and when Serpent and Tinkerbell left I think that is when I joined Atlantis -- which is the oldest neighborhood in old TC.

The point of moving appears moot. I tried moving from TC to another TC lot, as well as from TC to TC3, and I get error messages. It appears I am destined to stay put.

Neighborhoods appear a thing of the past in TC, anyway. All neighborhood affiliations were wiped as clean as our bank accounts. For now, I am just as happy having the nekkid map and turning my mind to meeting people and doing the things necessary to enjoy the game. Location, location, location is not really important in the sim world.
