With the changes coming in The Burning Crusade many people are saying Blizzard is making Warriors into a tanking only class. Is this true? Do you think Warriors will still be able to dish out a bit of damage or stand up to other classes in PvP?

Here is the new talent calculator so you can see what they will be doing.

I'm pretty new to Warriors, mine being only 25th, so I don't have an opinion on your poll, but your intro statement raised a question.

You said, "...many people are saying Blizzard is making Warriors into a tanking only class."

For the sake of discussion, could you explain to me what other uses there are for Warriors, other than tanking?

Just opening a discussion.

For PvP you need burst damage. Tanks are normally fairly low and slow damage output that is not good for PvP. Even though tanks have a lot of hit points a Mage or Warlock can take you down very fast.

Burst damage is better for solo play too so you don't just click on an enemy then look blankly at the screen for 3 minutes while your low damage high health Warrior kills the target.

There are also "Off-Tanks" that do not need the highest protection and hit points but instead need good damage, aggrosnap abilities that can save a Mage, Warlock, or Priest that has an enemy on them, and the ability to to do damage to a secondary target while helping the main tank by damaging or hindering the main target.

You can do all this now well enough but with the changes coming it seems as if Blizzard is blurring the line between the old trees into more tanking than improving their current uses.

Great points. I would have to agree on the Mage and Warlock comment. Last night four us were in STV taking out the elite tiger.

A 40 Warrior, a 40 Druid, a 34 Pally, and me a 40 Warlock. Even with a VW and those three, that tiger wanted to eat my gnome for lunch. Stacking it up with dot's must be racking up a tremendous amount of damage so I need to stretch out my dot's.
