There has been a bug regarding this for ages. It's how I lost my bonded greater several months back. When you're dead, sometimes it does log out with you, sometimes it doesn't.

I personally look at it from a PvP standpoint.

If the dead (losers) log out to save their pets, from being dead and losing stat points, then I see it as a good proposition.

When it happens to me... it's bad

Oh ok. I interpreted it in two ways

1) What you just said happened

2) You could have been a PvPer who killed a tamer and was working his pets down and they vanished.

I think they may have changed the way it works because I put out a horse I just tamed, left it out somewhere, logged out/in and the horse was with me after coming back.

There seems to be something strange happening with pets in general lately, normally I never have to feed bonded pets, yet some of them have been ignoring commands multiple times in a row, dropping lots of loyalty, and not gaining it back when they do listen.

It's been like that since I came back to UO shortly before SA came out. Your pet doesn't come with you when you're a ghost if you log out and in to summon it.

I have never been able to log out and in while I am dead to recover my pet. Have to get rez'd first.

The pet still logs to the logging stable but will not come to your location if oyu are a Ghost this is not new.

Yes pets still can be saved if oyu are killed.

I save my pets all the time it still works fine. You were probably on a beetle or had a pack mule with stuff IN IT. Pets will NOT LOG if they have property INSIDE THEM.

this bugs been around for awhile, i lost a beetle on my miner..
i died i went to get resurrected, logged out and back in got that message.. came back to where i died and it went wiled and died.. i found its corpse but no ghost.. bonded beetle gone

That message has been appearing since the pet logging was introduced... It means your pets just got stabled.

If you log out and back in when ur rezzed up I think you get them back, or then you have to go to stable can't remember.

Actually I think you need to log out and back in when ur alive again.

Seems to work fine for me. On the other hand my pets are still getting stuck in place sometimes while attacking and won't chase after their opponent. Also, sometimes their legs aren't animated while they are walking and it gives the appearance that they are just floating around.
