I am one lucky, lucky man. =DGotta ask, how the heck did you get that![]()
These guards with the suits were killed by the EM or Mesanna during the event on all shards. They were meant to be looted. There are 5-6 guards per shard. That's potentially more than 50 suits out there. So think twice before bidding too much.
wow ultimate power what is that other item in your bag?
Are these on display anywhere, I would like to see how it looks in the other client. To answer: Yes, they are legitiment, and confirmed by EM. I do have the Mempo but it is not displayed on paperdoll (looks ugly), only the set was dropped, no weapon.
Damn,I just went to check other shards; Europa doesn't have elite guards in the throne room - they are unarmed town criers!
So much for guarding the crystal!
Whats also cool about this item is that you can lock something down on it and raise it so that it looks like its sitting on the pillow.![]()
These will also be available for a very limited amount of time on all shards, so do not pay a fortune for one.
The Asian shards had the events last night/ this morning.
Atlantic, GL, Baja had the event tonight.
Check with your Shard Em's for date and time.
Come heavily armed.![]()
Do you have images available of the two or a link to where they are shown?Just a side note there are two name variations of this case.
Matter of opinion....you have the problem that some people may have three pieces, where others do as well, and both are stubborn and don't want to sell. In addition, most people that finally get the full set are either stuffing it in their collection or selling it.....I was lucky and got the grand majority of 'em....and plan on keeping one legit, selling one and imbuing one.Based on the drop #'s....it shouldnt be too difficult for people to complete a set. And a bunch of shards have yet to have their drop/event yet.
I have literally seen/read of almost a dozen complete suits for sale. From individual who looted entire suits on their own. Add this to the random pieces looted by others, and you have to assume there will be in excess of 20-25 suits min. Since the estimate of all shards combined is upwards of 50 suits worth of armor dropping. Full suit #'s will only grow over time as collectors assemble them. Although at the same time their #'s on the market overall will reduce because people won't be selling them once they enter peoples collections.
Not sure why you are trying to play debate, but ok, let's think logically:Not so much a matter of opinion at all. Simple facts and arithmetic.
(X amount of shards)(Y amount of suits per shard) = total suits.
Broken or full sets, there will be at least 50ish sets in circulation.
I'm not the one who made it....Manticore did:No debate being made. And I have never commented on the value or the desirability.
Just making clear as others have in the post as well, for any potential buyers of these suits to be aware that there is a large quantity floating around. And more to come.
Also this speculation that "they might change the items name" is nothing more than a sales pitch. Smoke and mirrors to trump up the desirability of naive buyers. I don't know how appropriate that is???
Yet you have no issues posting bids on his items? I don't understand the logic here...at all. This seller has a reputaion...you should have known bettersorry for your loss
Well, as long as people continue to have dealings with this person (or any of his alts) and the moderators continue to allow him...this type of behavior will continue.yes i did bid on the item. i would not have done a transaction without a broker such as DVI. i have learned my lesson in the past of the importence of useing a broker to make sure the trade is safe. but i understand where you are going i will never make a bid or deal with this person as i think no one should deal with this person. and i do feel ashamed that i had made an offer i was cought in the moment looking at what i thought was a one of a kind item that matched my wedding dress color

This is not about who I do or do not like, this is only about trying to help people avoid being taken for a loss whenever possible. Unfortunately some people choose to take things lightly instead of taking the time to listen to good advice.Hi there Restroom Cowboy,
well it is perfectly legal to kill people and steal items in UO.
We all know that you do not like OP,but it is not his fault that people are acting stupidly.

Mr. Restroom,
Sometimes you cannot protect a player from thier own silly actions. I've read this thread with great interest as I am an owner of one of these suits and would like to sell it if the price is right. For a player to arrive in Fel and hand over 300mil for a non insured item you have to conclude there is a lack of forsight happening. I am not saying the buyer is dumb but the action was silly and, in hindsight, clearly preventable.
I think it would be wise for members of the rare community to read the thieves thread every couple weeks to refresh themselves of just what other players might do. There was a very lively posting a while back which chronicled a player, his fel vendor and the clients who lost thier purchase.
Buyer beware, sorry for the loss but sometimes you have to remember it is fel where bad things happen.
One could clearly argue that the poster has no intent of *building the community* and in addition is only interested in taking advantage of it. Stratics is by proxy supporting their actions by not following up on their own policy by putting up a permanent ban for the activity. (BTW, I seem to recall one person was banned for *supposed* illicit activity. In this case there were several incidents pointing out activities which were even more harmful to the community and its members.)B. Help build the Community.
