Here's a novel way to train weapons skills. Fast, UBWS poison weapons are few and far between. Even the wealthy can have trouble finding one. UBWS energy weapons, on the other hand, are dirt cheap and easy to come by. Too bad golems don't have high energy resists...or do they?

I'm happy to present a really, really, really old school, SA-age golem with not high poison resist, but high energy resist. This golem works just the same as current golems for training, but you'd use an energy weapon instead of a poison weapon.

Let me give you an example of how this can benefit you:

A 100% poison repeater shoots at 2.75/s. These are highly sought after - hence, their rarity. What's more, even if you are lucky enough to own a poison repeater, operating it is very pricey, as it uses crossbow bolts.

Alternatively, there's Silvani's Feywood Bow. With its 30 ssi, this bow shoots at 2.8/2 - only 1/100th of a second different than a repeater. Furthermore, it uses arrows, which are easily stocked from fighting Centaurs at Oaks.

Option 1: It takes approximately 80k bolts to train from 50 - 120 archery. On Atlantic, the average price of bolts is 14 gold/bolt. Run the numbers, that comes out to 1.12 million gold. Steep price.

Option 2: You can collect around 2k arrows (a modest estimate) each time you run Oaks. Do Oaks 40 times (which many of you already do on a daily basis), you've got 80k arrows.

Believe me, I wouldn't be selling this golem if I didn't have another one to use, myself.
