Switching legacy castle to the new designs

I want to swap my castle to one of the new designs. Do I have to remove all the stone stuff that my current one has first before I can do this?

I really can't be bothered to remove all the stone. There is so much of it! Can I just move all my stuff out, demolish it and place as a new design?

If you demo it, the stone stuff will stay where it's at..not sure if you can place on top of all that but you can try. Usually it will place over it and all that stuff will go under the house sign.

It was a massive ball ache. I was lucky that I’d only built up the 1st floor with pavers.

I’ve placed and tried all the castles now, only one I’ve stuck with it’s the spires one as you can still customise it

Yeah I've got tons of the stuff mate. I really can't be bothered with all that double clicking to remove it all. I was thinking just demolish my current plot with all the stone on, then place a new castle from the new design.

Just wondering if anyone else has done this before I try!

I would try it on test shard. place a castle and raise up like 30 pavers, then drop the castle and see if you can replace..
I am stuck with the same dilemma i want to switch one of my places to a new one but they all have stone work done.

Change all your access internally to owner only, make someone a co-owner and pay them to double click the tiles

Do you need to demolish house and choose new design via placement tool or can you just use the sign menu: Customize then "Securely Replace This House" ?

Unfortunately you can’t do that with all the house tiles/pavers people have used to customise their legacy castles/keeps.

I was thinking about this. The trouble is there is already a castle in the same spot as the one I have on a prodo shard. I kinda wanted to make sure the spot was still able to have a castle placed while I was at it.
