Hmmm a quick search found...

The Council memebers fared worse. I captured Hassad of New Magincia and Felespar of Yew. The others hid under assumed names, though Sutek of Skara Brae had disappeared before I even assumed command of Britannia, and I presumed him dead.

I didn't think Horance became undead until between Ultimas 6 and 7. I know he was a daft old codger in 6, but I never thought he was undead at that point.

Ahh the castle with the PushmePullyou. I remember that portion.

6 was my first and favorite of the Ultimas... I wish the Dungeon Siege version were finished (or would be finished).

I forget exactly what was there that you had to get whether it was a piece of pirate's map or what it was.

The way the mage says "Honestly" when trying to say/not-say anything made me wonder if it might be a clue to check out a shrine of Honesty, but I had no luck finding anything.

"Honestly" is a key word. Say it to him. You can follow the conversation just like Barry the Moongate.

Maybe my lore is screwed up... but wasn't Turfin Island a hide out of his? Turfin Island was an island between the mainland and Serps Hold. Currently the island that may be Old Turfin has a portal on it to T2A (currently Temple Island) - also near Serps Hold is the Serpents Portal to T2A just to the east of the Ophidian strong hold...

I don't know if this help but I figured after searching everyplace near moonglow and in moonglow. Maybe he recdu'd into t2a so I started following the path right and there is a bloody scroll on the groudn that says give us the articified scion...

So I kept walking and eventually ran into an ophidian compound so I walked around it and I was ambushed by 5 blackrock elementals, and about 10 toxic ozes and these things just cant be stopped needless to say I was slaughtered even running at full speed. Well while dead I noticed that there was pillars of blackrock there with energy fields coming from them. Anyhow I read someplace that energy mangetic fields and blackrock don't mix very well...

sooooo in the lost lands...theres a place called tortoise lagoon on the very southernmost edge. also noted that the portal to temple island aka turfin is relatively close to this lagoon so figured it was worth a look

alas, no purple turtles...yet

I was all over the tortoise islands and i covered alot of that area a couple of days ago and also those close by islands as well. I did notice that one of the islands had some strange camps on it but i haven't been there before so i dunno if they are new.

"The Purple Turtle Medusa:
The Purple Turtle Medusa can be found in the Hedge Maze southwest of Britain. Every 10-30 seconds it will randomly choose a victim to turn into stone. If you are the only player within range, you WILL get turned to stone! When you get turned into stone, you and everything you are equipped with are turned either marble, jade, or bronze stone color. You will not be able to move, but you will still be able to talk and cast spells. You are frozen in that pose for 5 minutes or until the Medusa that turned you into stone is slain. When you get unfrozen you will remain the color of the stone, proving to everyone that you have faced the Purple Turtle Medusa. (You can redye yourself and your clothing at the Paint Stations near Britain Bank - see above)

The Purple Turtle Medusa drops a special Medusa’s Mirror. If you have the Medusa’s Mirror equipped, and you were lucky enough not to have turned into stone, there is a tiny percent chance you will reflect the effects of the Medusa's Stone spell and instantly kill her."

It was part of shard of the dead II. I don't think it has any relevance to the current story arc.

I think those tortoise islands might, though...

One thing I've noticed with the quest npcs is that more of them spawn as you kill stuff in the rift. When I started killing stuff last night, we only had the main guard. I went into the rift and killed 3 or 4 shadow lords and noticed that we had spawned a mage. We still didn't have the mage in the lyceum, so I'm assuming that we just need to keep killing spawns in moonglow.

Right now, I think sutek has to be spawned by killing lots of spawns in the rift. I had the guard tell me to talk to one of the mages before we had any mages spawned, so I think you need to actually kill enough stuff to spawn the quest npcs before you can advance the storyline.

Also, if I'm right about how it works, that's really a bad idea. There's no way to tell what you're looking for because you could search over an area before the npc you were supposed to talk to has spawned. This creates an inconsistant storyline and a less enjoyable event experience.

I have to tell you, I was annoyed when Avery told me to talk to one of the mages and the mages hadn't spawned yet. Most ppl on my shard are bored with the event now... we want more substance than "ok, go kill lots of monsters for a long time", so they stopped. This puts a much bigger strain on those of us who are trying to advance the storyline because instead of needing to kill a small portion of the monsters, we have to kill tons of them.

I already know an npc will spawn in the lyceum and that npc isn't spawned yet. This leads me to believe that sutek doesn't even exist on my shard right now even though the npcs have basically told me I can go find him in his refuge... Inconsistant storyline... bad idea...

on another thread they mentioned a black and white map. Anyone know where it is located. It shows some new islands. Looked all over Moonglow with my treasure hunter (100 cart.) I havent' found it

That's because it was an image someone linked to of a pre-UO UO map that has shown up now and then over the years, and WAS NOT something in-game. That was ALSO discussed in that same thread.
