Not sure what caused it, but it definitely has a plus side when you're trying to buy blank scrolls or bribe up a bod. Not sure I'd like to try stealing the semi rares in Serps Hold tinker shop though

It's a hell of a lot harder that it should be, thanks to the extra NPCs - which is particularly ironic since the copper wire you can get there is now more useful than it was, it's needed for the 'new' version communication crystals, as well as making the distillery from the Rustic pack..

ah, but the copper wire doesn't come from the tinker's, it comes from the Smith's. Bucc's den is the easiest place. I got several copper wire from Buccs on Siege yesterday.

I tried to figure out how to use those new crystals. Result - one highly confused Petra.

One day, my brain will work and I'll tell the difference between smith and tinker I tried testing a couple of the new crystals on TC1, but with limited success since it was tricky to get a batch of people on diffferent sub-servers and/or facets to do a thorough test.

heh I couldn't even work out what to set how. All I was trying to do was make it so my vendors told me when someone bought from them.
If anyone's worked it all out, I'd love them to write me a 'how to' for the site.
