Supposedly Temporary?

So originally when they started doing this resetting thing twice a day two weeks ago or whenever it was I thought it was temporary to diagnose and then fix the lag problem.

So when can we be expected to not be interrupted from skilling/working/making money for a reset? People are getting quite frustrated...and it doesn't seem to do much.

I don't know how much it helps or not, I don't usually experience really bad lag unless I'm at a full property, which I'm usually not.

On the other hand, maybe this time period is still considered "temporary"?

I know the other day there was bad lag I couldn't even fill a stores order, but they reset and after; it was almost no lag (like usual for me).

I also think the time of day a player plays makes a difference in how people see this reset. I am usually on my way home from work and getting in near the end of the reset so it doesn't effect me as much.

I've enjoyed the resets and hope they continue with them until all lag issues are resolved. Resetting has improved the overall lag in game for me.

Mine does also. The other day it seemed everyone at the house I was skilling at was getting very bad lag. This happened right after a reset and the city came back. I waited about 1 hr (due to people logging in all at once) but the lag never got better. It was so bad I couldn't go to work since I was afraid I was going to die

I like the resets. They make the game lag free and I get sometime to visit Real Life!

I had a similer problem the other night, maxis eventually booted everyone from EA Land and did another reset, it came up fine afterwards.

Fan for Resets, (untill the lag disapears)

I am glad for the resets because it has cleared up alot of lag for me and the reset is so fast that if you do a PC clean-up and reboot by the time you get done their back up.

But even if they do the reset and it fixes the lag it just gets bad again and then does another reset that interrupts play time.

I do agree that it depends on the person playing at the time of day etc. But when can we expect to not have interruptions for updates and go back to normal once a day maintenance?

I thought it was supposed to be temporary, too. It gets frustrating to get to a skill place and just get started skilling when you get the warning.

I don't mind the game reseting. Only when i'm do I mind. Luckily the lag had not been bad lately but that notice from Parizad said that they think they know whats causing it so we shall see.

My guess is they will continue until a better solution is found.

I personally think that this still fits easily under temporary. Temporary doesn't mean one week, or one month, or six months, it means not permanent. It means it is being fixed so wait! It hasn't been too long. Don't expect it to fix overnight so to speak . Enjoy the chance to grab a cup of hot chocolate, or a coffee or tea. Speak to your RL friends (if you have any) and thank the EA team for improving the game (and stuffing the economy, although they say it is better)
